Is there a special word for a non-sexual, romantic relationship? I googled it since “Squish” isn’t exactly the proper word (no matter how frigging adorable it is!!!) but the only thing that came up was “Platonic.”
Don’t platonic relationships lack the romantic aspect? Platonic is a Squish thing, isn’t it?

In Embassytown by China Mieville, he uses the term “non-connubial love match” but that might be scary if “love” has not been discussed yet…

In the asexual and aromantic communities, platonic is understood to mean nonromantic. Platonic relationships in this usage can be sexual.
